High quality Guatemalan coffee matures slowly in volcanic soil.  La Voz is lively, complex and rich with spicy, smoky flavor and hints of dark chocolate in the finish. This coffee is Organic, Fair Trade and Shade Grown. 

  • In San Juan La Laguna, a small village on the shores of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, La Voz que Clama en el Desierto ("The Voice that Cries in the Wilderness") coop has about three hundred members. These farmers started the coop about six years ago.

  • Term:  Acidity – a desirable term.  The palatable sensation felt on the tongue and in the mouth that actually gives a coffee its distinctive taste, and enhances or helps clarify its individual flavors:  velvety, smooth, clean – refer to low acidity coffees, crisp pleasant, winey, snappy, tangy, lively refer to high acidity in coffee. 

     High acidity in coffee is still the ph of a carrot, but it gives you that pleasant snap on your tongue.  Acidity diminishes with increased roasting.  Espresso is a low acid coffee/roast.
